HEMP PROTEIN POWDER

 

Hemp protein is hypoallergenic and easily assimilated. It is what is termed a complete protein because it contains all the Essential Amino Acids. Our organic hemp protein powder is minimally processed - it is actually what remains of the whole seed after it has been cold-pressed to remove a lot of the oil. The resulting coarse powder contains approximately 40% protein. Although this is not as concentrated a protein source as the more common protein isolates such as pea protein, it is also far less processed. It is highly palatable and also retains a proportion of the oil (approx. 11%) which is an excellent source of Essential Fatty Acids. It is also a good source of fibre.
